There is something so fun about extending a client’s living space to the outside. We live in Southern California for goodness sake! So it makes sense to create outdoor living and dining rooms. You’re already out there barbequing, might as well have a comfy place to enjoy a drink while dinner’s on the grill! So comfortable they’ll have you wondering how such cozy pieces can possibly stand up against the elements.
This client had recently purchased outdoor sofas and chairs for his patio, but quickly realized that he wanted more. Rather than purchasing all new patio furniture, we reupholstered his existing cushions in updated fabric patterns from our favorite outdoor fabric vendor, Sunbrella. This fabric is incredibly durable while remaining soft to the touch. Sunbrella fabrics come in so many amazing patters and colors and promise to withstand the elements. We added bright cherry red pillows to add color to the space and yes… they are also made from Sunbrella fabric!
Remember when we said, “They’ll have you wondering how such comfy pieces can possibly stand up against the elements”? Well, just look at these upholstered dining chairs! The woven wicker barstools around the barbecue and the dining room table are from Sunset West. We just love the way the pops of cherry red bring the entire space to life!
