Designing your own home is not easy. Sometimes this is true even for a designer. Something about designing your own space changes the game. Is something missing? Is it too much? Should I change things around? Sometimes it takes another set of eyes to help pull it all together.
This happens all the time in our office. We are constantly helping one another get that “just right” feeling in our own homes. Whether it’s being the second (or third) opinion on a sofa fabric, helping each other accessorize our homes or debating the perfect welt for an ottoman, we are always needing help from one another when designing our spaces.
That’s why when the Designer Network called and posed the question, “What is your #1 piece of design advice for homeowners?” we answered, “Hire a designer!”
It’s honestly the most common call we get. A client knows what they want, they’ve done their research, perhaps purchased a sofa or just added a fresh coat of paint. But now they are stuck and that’s where we come in! We take their loves and their dislikes, the ideas they’ve been mulling over and create the look that they’ve wanted all along.
This client was just that!
