If you’ve ever had the pleasure of working with a nonprofit, you know that remodeling is usually at the bottom of the budget  list. So, when our clients told us that they had a special endowment specifically for their office lobby, we jumped at the opportunity!

We started with clearing our the space, replacing the very old carpet with new commercial-grade carpet, and exciting wall paint in bold stripes that flowed from the lobby down into their main office space! Using a grey and taupe pallet, we kept the space light with pops of slate blue and corn-husk yellow. The once dreary space become quite the gathering space for their time.

Next came furniture! Because we knew we couldn’t use too many accessories, each piece of furniture had to stand out. We broke the space into three areas that seamlessly flowed into each other. A small seating area with two modern wingback chairs in a bold pattern, anchored by a small round table. Along the adjacent wall, we used a unique sunburst console cabinet to make a big statement. We flanked it with two lamps to add a bit of warm lighting.

Last was the main seating area. This space was designed to facilitate conversation and create an area of comfort for their staff. We wanted it to feel like a well appointed living space in the middle of their workspace.

We LOVE Before & After photos! Not only because they prove just how far a space has come, but because it also shows the unrealized potential of a space! This space turned out even better than we’d hoped and we couldn’t be more excited for all the people that will enjoy it in the future!
