This Modern Farmhouse belongs to a lovely couple and their growing family. When they purchased the house, they knew that although they loved it’s cozy feel, it needed some love! Making the house cohesive was the first step. After selecting the perfect gray paint and bright white molding, sub-contractors went to work making each room feel like it seamlessly matched the next. Pictures just don’t do this bright and cozy home justice! We are so excited for you too see!

Sitting Room

This room turned out just as cute as can be! We added new trim work throughout the room—including beautiful bookshelves and a window bench. Our beloved orchids flanked the mantle and draw the eye up, giving the room some added height. After filling the new built-ins with their books we nestled accessories, both new and old, in the blank spaces to create some added visual interest. Keeping the coffee table simple was key, as we knew it would be used for puzzles and games. Toys and games were placed in woven baskets that slipped under the window bench for easy storage.

Living Room

The living room was a sweet combination of slate blues and warm grays. Mixing fabrics is one of our favorite things to do when designing and this room is the perfect example of why! Ottomans in gray houndstooth and pale blue stripes, pillows in blue florals with striped ruffles, and cozy cable throws bring an excitement to this understated room. But we couldn’t resist throwing one of our favorite carmel cowhides under the furniture—which instantly warmed up the space. If you look closely, you’ll see a little navy blue chair nestled in the corner by the TV. It’s a chair fit for a princess and that’s precisely who it’s intended for (and let me tell you… she’s the sweetest little princess)!

Kitchen & Dining Room

It doesn’t get much better than a clean, white, subway tiled kitchen. These beauties are simply timeless. A blue floral smiling roman tucked up into the kitchen window adds an effortless pop of color. Throw in a couple house plants to add a freshness to the kitchen while the wooden crate and antique barn wood cutting board go perfectly in this Modern Farmhouse.

Guest Room

We took the gray wall color up the previously red staircase, into the upstair hallway and guest room to really create an easy flow within the entire home. A custom upholstered bed frame and headboard, accompanied by layers of custom pillows bring this previously simple room to life. Wicker side tables and the distressed, dark wood dresser keep with the Farmhouse feel.
