We love making our client’s houses really feel like home. Incorporating their carefully curated collections into their decor is just one of our favorite ways to do so. We love when our clients walk through their home after the big reveal and hear them say, “Oh look! They used our…” or “Honey! It’s the picture from our…”.  It’s like music to our ears.

When working with a color scheme and a specific design aesthetic, it is impossible to use everything. However, we love mixing their treasured items with a blend of our accessories to tie it all together.  We call it Curated Collaboration…

Books. Music. Games.

We LOVE incorporating our clients collections in our designs. Stacking and layering helps the shelf to look as full as possible and inserting coordinating accessories where needed fills in the blanks. Picture frames, vases, and accent pieces add visual interest and make adding new books and music easy!

Lyle

Meet Lyle! He is… was… our client’s steer! Before retiring and relocating to San Diego, this family owned a ranch in East Texas. Displaying Lyle was their way of bringing a little bit of Texas and their memories from their amazing life there. We flanked him with beautiful glass pendants. To tie the room together, we hung 3 circular mirrors on the adjacent wall.

*Note: We realize that everyone has their opinions about animals. Just know, Lyle was well loved and lived a very long and happy life on their ranch. For them, this was a way to commemorate his life!

Built-ins

Built-ins can make or break a space. Over accessorize and it will bombard the space. Decorate too sparsely and built-ins look bare. They are like puzzles and for that reason often require a lot more “new” but we also love incorporating family photos, vacation treasures and plants for a green pop where ever we can.

Curator at Home

Some people just have a knack for finding unique treasures. Their homes tell the tales of their travels. Their “souvenirs”, museum worthy.  This perfectly describes our client, Eclectic Traveler. Her and her husband spent years traveling to the most amazing places and her perfectly curated collection is proof. We loved helping her to display her treasures. Ornate parasols from Asia, hand embroidered table runners from Central America, blown glass from Europe and one of a kind art work from all over the world.  Her pieces were purposefully displayed throughout her home.
